LEMONERGY / RECYCLING · UPDATED 26 OCTOBER 2026

Shared requests, private access.

This page describes how the Recycling workspace handles batch drafts, quote requests and business responses.

Local drafts

Batch assessments, planning estimates and recycler draft records stay in your browser’s local storage until you export or delete them. They are not automatically uploaded. Local draft backups do not contain access to your shared requests.

What is shared when you create a request

After you explicitly authorise it, Lemonergy stores a fixed copy of the batch fields, evidence references, your name, reply email, organisation, message and selected businesses in its Cloudflare-hosted database. Files are not uploaded. Your planning prices and private recycler draft notes are not included. Each business response link grants access to that batch snapshot and your contact details. Creating a request does not send email.

Sending a request

You can open a pre-addressed email draft where a public business email is available, or use the business’s official enquiry form. You send or submit these yourself with the business’s private response link. Opening a draft, copying a link or marking a request as sent does not confirm delivery.

When direct email is available, Send from Lemonergy asks you to confirm one email from info@lemonergy.com to the selected business’s listed email address. The message contains a batch summary, your name, email, organisation and message, and that business’s private response link. The link grants access to the shared batch and evidence references. Your private owner link is not included. Direct email uses Zoho Mail’s EU service, which processes the recipient, message content and response link to send the email. Businesses without a listed email use their official enquiry form.

Lemonergy records the business and recipient address, attempt time, status and, when available, Zoho’s acceptance time and message ID. Accepted by Zoho means the mail API accepted the message; it does not confirm delivery or reading. An uncertain or pending status may mean a message was accepted without a final result reaching Lemonergy. Check its status before sending another copy. The service does not automatically retry attempts, send reminders or send quote notifications.

Receiving quotes

A representative using a business response link can submit their name, business email, stated legal entity, itemised amounts, quote reference, validity and commercial terms. The owner can view these replies in the shared request inbox. Revisions are retained. The responder cannot see other businesses’ offers.

Quotes appear in the workspace only when submitted through the business response link. Lemonergy does not read or parse incoming mailbox messages. The owner’s email is included in the message for direct questions; replying to the sender does not submit a quote to the shared inbox.

Who can access a request

Access uses long, randomly generated private keys instead of accounts. The owner link can read all quotes and email-attempt records, authorise available direct sends, replace business response links, close the request and delete it. Each business link can read the batch and submit responses for that invitation. Anyone with one of these links has its permissions; keep the owner link confidential and send business links only to their intended recipients.

The workspace removes access keys from the address bar after opening them. Owner access is remembered in this browser’s local storage; a business response link is remembered for its browser tab session. Server-side records contain hashed access keys. Private keys are sent in authorisation headers, not URL query parameters. If the owner link is lost and no browser copy or backup remains, there is no email-based recovery.

Identity and provider listings

Directory listings come from dated official business sources. A listing is not a partnership, endorsement, current capacity guarantee or acceptance of a particular batch. A private-link response does not independently verify the representative’s identity. Confirm the business, receiving site, acceptance, payment and transport terms through its official contact channels before transacting.

Retention and deletion

Shared access expires 90 days after a request is created. Expired requests and associated invitations, quotes and email-attempt records become inaccessible and are removed during subsequent authorised request-service activity. The owner can delete the request and these associated records earlier using the Delete control. Closing a request stops new responses and direct sends but retains existing records until deletion or expiry.

Copies already downloaded, shared with a business or processed by an email provider are outside that deletion. Deleting a request does not recall messages retained by Zoho or recipients. Replacing a business response link makes the old link unusable, including links in earlier emails.

The service uses a short-lived, one-way hash derived from the connecting IP address and date to limit abuse. It does not store the raw IP address in the recycling request tables. It also keeps daily direct-email attempt counts for the service and each listed business. Rate-limit records expire after their stated window and are cleaned up by the service. Hosting and email providers may retain their own operational and security records under their service terms.

Your choices

Review the batch and contact details before sharing them. Share document references only when appropriate; do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information in a batch. Save your private access link, download comparison reports when needed, and use the request’s deletion control to remove shared records. To correct a published batch snapshot, close or delete the old request and create a new one. Businesses can submit a revised quote through their current response link.
